Bale Nets & Twines
Heat-Resistant MB, For Enhanced Efficiency
Hay bales produced for easier transport and storage use HDPE nets, made from HDPE films that are stretched and cut into tapes. These are used mainly in hot climate areas like the Middle East, Australia and parts of the US. Twines used with a trellis for crop protection, particularly in the production of tomatoes, cucumber, eggplants and peppers, are produced from PP tapes that are twisted together. Additives used in the manufacture of these products must withstand high temperatures both in production and in their practical application. Our MB exceeds the market’s benchmark for UV and high chemical resistance, even at the very high extrusion temperatures found in the production processes for bale nets and twines.
High chemical resistance UV
Bale nets and twines are produced at very high extrusion temperatures, at which the market’s benchmark for UV with high chemical resistant is not stable. We have developed a UV MB that is suitable for these process temperatures, while also giving good UV stability to the polymer when high levels of pesticides are used.
