Exterior
For exteriors that don’t just look good
High-performance polymers play a key part in the design and functionality of a car’s exterior components, such as doors and sills, lighting, roof systems, mud guards, front and rear bumpers, spoilers, hoods and wing mirror housing. These polymers must have the robust mechanical properties of dimensional stability, toughness, stiffness and flexibility, good weathering and chemical resistance. In terms of color too, high-performance masterbatches are required for bumpers, exterior trim and roof boxes made of polyamide, polypropylene or plastics such as PC or PBT. Our range of color and black masterbatches has been specifically designed to offer the ideal mix of properties to meet these demands.
Superior mechanical properties
Regardless of the polymer being used, our compounds and masterbatches can be formulated to provide the optimal balance of mechanical properties, including tensile strength, flexural strength, impact, hardness, creep resistance, heat deflection temperature, hysteresis and thermal mechanical performance , to give you the widest choice of materials suitable for your application.
Color Accuracy
Color accuracy is critical to avoid mismatched colors across the exterior of the car. The extensive expertise of our colorists, together with our state-of-the-art spectrophotometers, allow us to meet the most stringent tolerance demands operating within the industry
Tactile properties
For ultimate consumer appeal, a vehicle should feel as good as it looks. We have formulated solutions to create a pleasant tactile feel for exterior polymer surfaces.
